Turns out you CAN have too much blue on a car. After one year, I was kinda over the blue exterior/blue interior I’d done up for the 924, and wanted something not too blue. Also, the molded carpet kit I’d bought was a bit of a PITA to install and fit. It’s pretty good, but I may or may not have trimmed some areas too short, which means I did.

Hindsight being 50/50, turns out I could’ve bought a used and complete carpet set out of any 944 or 924 for about $300 on eBay at anytime, so I did just that last week! Got this black kit out of an ‘87 944.

Needs a bit of cleaning and TLC. While I’m in there, I also purchased 18sq.ft of sound absorbing/deadening material from a brand called Kilmat because Dynamat is overpriced as heck. So this should be a nice weekend of work when I get the time. Might be a good time to install a radio and speakers while things are out.

For reference, the dark blue molded carpet kit I bought last spring. I’m definitely gonna keep it as backup, and may even re-dye and mix some bits into the new-old interior.

Bought this album for this song only.  Not typically my style, but this song rocks.
